Some years ago a young Irish man called Sean Finnegan left Ireland to set up home in Hamburg, Germany. He settled in to his new live and over the years Sean visited many, many hostelries sampling German beers and Apfelwein, a German cider very unlike what Sean was used to with its sour, tart taste.

Sean was disappointed, nothing compared to the deliciously refreshing taste of cold Irish cider on a hot summer’s day.

Back in his native Ireland Sean had crafted his own cider, made from the tangy cider apples of County Tipperary. One day he decided enough was enough, if he couldn’t buy a cider he enjoyed, he would make his own!

Delighted with the results Sean shared his ciders with friends, who then told their friends. They all loved this refreshing drink that was not too sour, not too sweet, but just right! As more and more people came looking for this new exciting blend of cider Sean Finnegan began producing more and more… and in early 2016 JKK JORK Cider was born.

Now, with a number of experienced cider makers and a greater number of enthusiastic cider tasters, we have created a range of authentic hand-crafted ciders including traditional Finnegan’s Harvest Gold, as well as Raspberry, Rhubarb and Bourbon flavoured ciders.
